Watchmen: End of Chapter 1

Rorschach went to the Rockeffeller Military Research Center to tell Dr. Manhattan and Laurie Juspeczyk about the mask-killer, but he couldn't get it out in time before Dr. Manhattan transported him away. Laurie went out to dinner with Don and she asked herself why she became a superhero in the first place and how the Keene Act, the act that banned all independent superheros, was the best thing that ever happened to her and Don. Laurie and Don then talked about the one guy who pretended to be a supervillain so he could get beaten up and that Rorschach eventually dropped the guy down an elevator shaft.

  2. I like that Watchmen has a naked superhero in it. I think that the mask-killer will get killed or be turned in.

Why did Dr. Manhatten transport Rorschach away? Why didn't he take Laurie? Is she still able to act as a superhero now that she was banned?

  4. Dr. Manhatten transported Rorschach away because Laurie wanted Rorschach to go away. Dr. Manhatten didn't take Laurie to dinner because he was close to locationg a Gluino which would validate SuperSymmetrical Theory. Laurie is not leagally allowed to be a superhero, but I believe she will return to being a superhero.
